Trina Michalek

No picture available When dyssia shared a basement jam space with Black Triangle (Ottawa's best punk band for many years), they got to know one of the singers with that band, Trina. When Libid left for New York, dyssia didn't know very many vocalists to recruit as a replacement... until Trina came to the rescue. And while Trina wasn't a part of the band for very long, the distinctive sound of her voice played a significant role in molding the way in which songs were composed and arranged. Trina also held the distinction of performing with dyssia at 5 Arlington, an all-ages club just down the street from Petar's house, more than any other singer.

We don’t believe that Trina sings with bands much these days but she’s still in the Ottawa area so there’s always hope for a dyssia reunion some day.
