Rick BugatschRick Bugatsch

Richard B. Bugatsch (the "B" stands for Brent despite whatever claims Rick might make about it representing the word "Big") was one of the founding members of the band although he didn't remain with the group during its most active period. An old high school friend of Patrick Calnan’s and J. Raymond Lavoie's, he used to play with them in their high school cover band, Random. But just as things started to pick up for The Gutterboys and they began playing live gigs more frequently, Rick had the opportunity to pursue a career in the Royal Canadian Air Force and left the group.

Rick's military career was notably short-lived (he hated getting up early and having to call people "sir") but he now lives in Boise, Idaho where he's a founding partner in an architecture firm. Rick has also continued his love for flying (without having to pander to military discipline) as he owns his own single-propeller airplane and has his pilot's license, terrifying innocent birds on weekends.
