Patrick Calnan

Patrick Calnan was the rock solid beat for The Gutterboys as well as a principal lyricist, collaborating with the guitarists to eventually unify the band's two differing styles of song writing. Patrick had the unenviable chore of being the pseudo-manager/booking agent and did most of the business work after their brief flirtation with Kim McGilchrist, a self-taught manager/agent, had ended. He also provided the space for rehearsals and recording demos (most of which are unfortunately lost to cruel Fate). Simply put, he was the band's life sustainer and motivator.

Patrick went on to play in a number of other Ottawa bands including dyssia, Picklecatz, and CDs Guise as well as being one of the triumvirate behind Lonesome Studios Productions.
