Todd Snelgrove
Todd Snelgrove was the lifesaver (cherry or lime?) of the band by joining when The Gutterboys lost one of their founding members, Rick Bugatsch (who was not a true bassist, but was really another guitarist that simply owned a bass). Rick left The Gutterboys in order to pursue an Air Force career that ultimately didn't work out.
Todd was the original focus of that great unrecorded classic "Todd's Not Here". Todd missed the first half of the rehearsal in which the song was being written; shortly thereafter the song was rewritten and re-titled "You're Not Here". Todd came to Ottawa from New Brunswick to attend Carleton University as a music student. What could be more perfect? Todd also had the van for gig transportation. What could be even *MORE* perfect? When The Gutterboys "retired", Todd went on to play guitar in Bob Loblaw with J.P. Côté for a time.
He has since left Ottawa and now resides in Newfoundland where he remains active in the local music scene as both a teacher and practitioner of the musical arts.
